Affiliate marketing has become perhaps one of the easiest and effective ways to create revenue online.

Let's go over some of the benefits of affiliate marketing:

Affilate Marketing is an agreement between a merchant and a website owner (herein the affiliate) wherein the affiliate uses his or her website to promote the merchant's products in exchange, the merchant pays a commission to the affiliate on all sales generated by the affiliate.

Every time someone clicks on the merchant's link on the affiliate website or page and then proceeds to make a purchase, the affiliate gets a commission on that sale - usually a percentage of the sale price of the product
or service.

Affiliate marketing programs can be described as a win-win situation for both the merchant and the affiliate because of the pay-for-performance system in place. For the merchant, affiliate marketing gives them a way to advertise to a wider market that they could otherwise if they did it all themselves.

Because of the number of affiliates advertising the site or the product or service, Affiliate Marketing will give the merchant the maximum exposure as compared to more traditional advertising methods.

Simply put, Affiliate Marketing is like having an army of sales personnel who will do the advertising and will only get "paid" when the customer purchases.

As for the affiliate, a foremost benefit is the almost easy way to make money. The affiliate can earn by simply having an ad or link to the merchant's website. When a prospective customer clicks on that ad or link in the affiliate's site, he or she is redirected to the merchant's website where they can buy the product or service which results in a commission for the affiliate.

It goes without saying that the more referrals the affiliate brings to the merchant the more his or her commissions will be.That's why affiliates would often do pre-selling to set-up the prospective customer to buy the product or service.

Affiliate Marketing can be an excellent way to earn money while at home.

There's virtually no production costs - at least not as much - and the product is already created and developed by the merchant. Your job is to just find as many prospective customers for it that you can.

Since affiliate programs are usually free to join, affiliates need not worry about start-up costs.

There are thousands of products and services you can choose from. Surely, there is a product or service out there that is relevant to your website. You would be amazed at all the companies who offer affiliate programs. Look on any company website for a link that says "Affiliates" or "Join Us" to find it. Amazon, Target, Old Navy, USA Today, Best Buy, etc. I could go on and on. You get the picture!

Sales experience is not necessary and most affiliate programs offer excellent support when it comes to providing marketing material. The simplicity of affiliate marketing allows you to be an affiliate marketer at the least cost and the most comfort - even from your own home.

Your responsibility is simply to find prospective customer(s) for the merchant - you do not have to worry about inventory, order processing and the like. The global reach of the internet means you can easily find your prospects.

And by intensify your advertising campaign through the exploitation of more aggressive and productive strategies you will not only attract more prospects but you will also maximize your earning potential.

And if the product you picked is not working for you then you can just pick another - there is no commitment contract.

The best benefit of being an affiliate marketer is simply the opportunity to increase your income streams even if you're doing this on the side.

You can use your Private label rights products as a bonus on your site to offer people who purchase a product thru your link. All you have to do is put a link on your site with a recommendation to a product or service and say "Hey, if you purchase this product thru my link, I will give you this "XXX" as a bonus!"

Or you can give away a PLR product that contains your links to the product you are promoting as an affiliate and if the person clicks on that link and buys the product, you have made a commission!

Here are three of the Top Ranked best Affiliate Programs available for you to consider:
Go ahead and check 'em out! (links will open in a new window)

Clickbank:  All Clickbank (CB) products are digital downloads and are available in almost any niche you could possibly think of! Digital products offer some of the highest commissions available and CB offers are usually anywhere from 50% up to 75%!  Approval is free and immediate and no website is required, although I do suggest you have a website for better results.

Clickbank is also THE best place to put your own products (that you created using my tips and strategies here, and on my Resell Rights website) up for sale. You could have your own veritable "army of affiliates" working to promote YOUR product.

Commission Junction: (CJ) Commission Junction offers physical products or services in many, many categories. The commisions aren't usually as high as a digital download but the variety and resources available are amazing. Lots of money to be made here!

Commission Junction operates the only truly global network in affiliate marketing while setting the industry standard for network quality and providing the most sophisticated reporting tools available.

ShareASale: (SAS) There are currently over 2,500 Merchants including my favorite "as seen on TV" plugged in to the ShareASale Network. Each of these merchants has a different type of product that they are selling - and each is ready to commission you on that sale if you bring a customer to them.

ShareASale, like CJ, also does not offer digital downloadable products; catering more to services and online ordering such as Flowers and Gifts.

Commission Junction and ShareASale merchants have to approve your application to promote their products but the app is short and approval rates are high. You are required to have a website.

Both are equally good as well to use for promoting your own non-digital products. All three companies do charge a fee for their services, but to MERCHANTS ONLY, not affiliates!

Best of luck with your affiliate marketing. Here are some FREE ebooks on affiliate marketing that will help guide you in the right direction: You can read them, download them and share them from right here on this page! Please feel free to share them with anyone you like =)
